Scott Sakakihara is a Democratic candidate for California State Senate District 10 in the 2026 election. He currently serves on the Union City Council representing District 4, and previously served as Vice Mayor. Sakakihara is a U.S. Navy Reserve intelligence officer, an attorney, and a former Palantir Technologies finance executive. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Obama White House and as a congressional fellow. He earned a bachelor's degree from UC San Diego and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
