Sean Reid is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives for the 11th Essex District, representing part of Lynn and the town of Nahant; he assumed office on January 1, 2025. Raised in West Lynn, he experienced housing insecurity and homelessness as a child. A graduate of Lynn Classical High School, North Shore Community College, and Amherst College (B.A. in economics), he worked as a substitute teacher in Lynn Public Schools and as an aide and legislative director to State Sen. Brendan Crighton, and served on the Lynn School Committee. He co-founded the nonprofit Kayak and Sail Lynn and lives in West Lynn with his wife, Kelsey, and their son, Jack.
