Sean F. Faircloth is an American attorney, writer, and Democratic politician representing District 24 in the Maine House of Representatives, where he serves on the Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee. Born in 1960, he earned degrees from the University of Notre Dame and the University of California Law, San Francisco. Faircloth is married with three children. He currently seeks re-election in the Democratic primary on June 9, 2026. He assumed his current seat following a special election in February 2025. His extensive political career includes previous terms in the Maine House and Senate, as well as serving as Mayor of Bangor and House Majority Whip. He is a proponent of reproductive rights and has spoken on childhood obesity policy, advocating for independent thought and justice.
