Sean "Joey" Murphy was elected to the Fife City Council in November 2023 and was appointed to a one-year term as Deputy Mayor on January 14, 2025. Prior to his election, he served on the Fife Parks Advisory Board for over four years. His professional experience includes roles as a Budget Analyst and Environmental Planner for the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), as well as being a self-employed certified arborist and a commercial salmon fisherman. He has also volunteered as a basketball coach at Evergreen Lutheran High School since 2011.
