A graduate of East High School, he has spent over 15 years as a union electrician, representing workers through IBEW Local 354, and is also a small business owner. Sotelo lives and raises his family in West Jordan, where he is deeply involved in community advocacy. He is running for State House to ensure local voices are heard, believing that many crucial decisions are made at the state level. His platform emphasizes access to quality education for all students and advocating for working people, focusing on fair wages, safe conditions, and job stability.
