He currently serves as a Curry County Commissioner for District 4, a role he was appointed to in 2017 and subsequently re-elected to in 2018 and 2020, with his term extending until December 31, 2028. As a commissioner, he has represented his county at the National Association of Counties. Martin is running as a Republican candidate for the New Mexico House of Representatives, District 63, in the 2026 Primary Election. His core interests lie in preserving New Mexico's industries and enhancing its communities.
