Shannon Reynolds was first elected to the Fircrest City Council in November 2013. She was elected Mayor by the council for a two-year term starting in January 2024. She holds dual bachelor's degrees in economics and biology from Pacific Lutheran University and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Seattle University. Originally from Wahiawa, Hawaii, she moved to Washington when her father was stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
