Her professional experience includes roles at the Kent School District, Asian Counseling and Referral Service, and most recently as the director of public policy and advocacy for The Mockingbird Society, a nonprofit focused on foster care and youth homelessness. Shoker is an active community volunteer with organizations such as the Kent Rotary Club, Kent Schools Foundation, and the Kent Cultural Communities Board.
