Sharon Chesterman moved to Royal City in 1964 to work as an English teacher and later finished her career as an elementary school librarian. She is a graduate of Medical Lake High School and Eastern Washington College of Education (now Eastern Washington University). An active member of her community, she was chosen as the grand marshal for the Royal City SummerFest in 2016 in recognition of her community involvement.
