Shaun Scott

Shaun Scott is a Democratic member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing District 43-Position 2. He assumed office in January 2025, succeeding Frank Chopp, and his current term concludes in January 2027. Born in Queens, New York, in 1984, he moved to Seattle at age ten and is an alumnus of the University of Washington, where he studied history. Before entering politics, Scott established himself as a filmmaker, writer, and activist. He is actively involved in the legislative process, serving on various committees, including as a Vice Chair, and is known for his voting record and bill sponsorships. Scott is seeking re-election for his seat in the August 2026 primary.
