Shawn Andre Harris

Shawn Harris is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District. A retired U.S. Army brigadier general, he served over four decades, enlisting in the Marine Corps, commanding infantry in Afghanistan, and holding senior advisory roles. Harris earned a master’s from the Army War College and a bachelor's from Tuskegee University. He lives as a cattle farmer in Rockmart, Georgia, with his wife Karla, a family physician, and their five sons. His campaign emphasizes support for farmers, veterans, healthcare access, and economic affordability, along with a pragmatic, bipartisan approach. He previously challenged Marjorie Taylor Greene in 2024 and is seeking the seat in the 2026 special election following her resignation, also running in the Democratic primary.
