Shawn Johnson is a Thermopolis-based attorney and Libertarian running for Wyoming's at-large U.S. House seat. He served 21 years as an Army combat medic in the Wyoming National Guard, including a 2003–2004 deployment to Iraq, then spent 13 years in law enforcement with the Natrona County Sheriff's Office. He served on the Casper City Council from 2014 to 2022, including a year as vice mayor in 2019, and previously chaired the Libertarian Party of Wyoming. After leaving law enforcement he earned his J.D. and practices family law and criminal defense in Wyoming. He previously ran for the Wyoming House of Representatives in 2020 and for the Natrona County Commission in 2022.
