Sheila Ann Lyman

Sheila Ann Lyman is a Republican State Representative for Maine's House District 76, currently serving her third term. She represents Livermore Falls, Jay, and part of Livermore, and is the Ranking Member on the Joint Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs. Lyman has sponsored legislation addressing local economic challenges, such as a mill closure in Jay. Her legislative work includes cosponsoring bills to create a Department of Child and Family Services, establish STEM competition programs, and eliminate the 72-hour waiting period on firearm purchases. She also supported raising the minimum state standard for mathematics education for a high school diploma.
