Sheila Ruth

Sheila S. Ruth is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 44B in Baltimore County. Initially appointed to the position in January 2020, she was subsequently elected to a full term. Before entering the legislature, Ruth had a diverse professional career that included working as a self-employed website developer and as a computer specialist for the U.S. Government Accountability Office, in addition to holding various positions in the publishing and technology sectors. Her political involvement includes founding the Baltimore County Progressive Democratic Club and serving on the Baltimore County Democratic Central Committee. In the House of Delegates, she has served on the Environment and Transportation Committee.
