Shereka Barnes

Shereka Barnes, a lifelong Kansas City native and Missouri Western State University graduate, is running for Missouri State Senate District 34. She currently serves her second term as vice president of the Park Hill School District Board of Education, with 35 years of experience connected to the district as a student, parent, and educator. Barnes' campaign is centered on strengthening public education, expanding access to healthcare, and supporting economic opportunities for Missouri families. Drawing on her professional background in healthcare and education and personal experiences with financial challenges, she seeks to bring accountable leadership to Jefferson City and advocate for policies that directly address the real-life needs of students, families, and local communities.
