Sherise L. Kennard

Sherise L. Kennard is a Democratic candidate and the current Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent County, Maryland. Having dedicated her career to the office since December 1993, she served as Deputy Clerk and later as Chief Deputy Clerk starting in 2015. Kennard was officially appointed as the Clerk of the Circuit Court in May 2020, and she successfully won election to the office in 2022. She is an active member of the Maryland Circuit Court Clerks' Association and the Mid-Atlantic Association of Court Management. Having attended Kent County High School, Kennard is deeply tied to her community and has a husband and twin daughters.
