Sherry Butler

Sherry Butler is a current Catawba County Commissioner. A resident of Newton, she is the retired executive director of The Green Room Community Theatre, Inc. Butler has served as the chair of the Catawba County Social Services Board and has been appointed to the statewide Justus-Warren Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Task Force. She is also a two-time past president and current member of the Newton-Conover Rotary Club. In 2021, she was selected to participate in the inaugural cohort of the Hunt State Policy Fellows Program, which focuses on education governance and policymaking.
