Sherry Dutzy is not currently running for office on Civoren.
Sherry Dutzy is a Democratic former New Hampshire State Representative (Hillsborough 6, 2022-2024; Hillsborough 30, 2018-2022). Trained as a social worker, she earned a bachelor's degree in social work from California State University, Long Beach, a Master of Social Work from Boston University, and an MBA from Northeastern University; she worked in medical and psychiatric social work and later in technical sales and business development. She chairs the Nashua Conservation Commission and lists public education, conservation and the environment, and reducing income inequality among her priorities.
Sherry Dutzy has a recorded position on six issues. Each is Civoren's summary of the campaign's own public material, with the source linked.
Supports legalizing recreational marijuana, voting for bills to allow private/licensed retail sales with an excise tax (HB 639, HB 1633, HB 1598).
Lists conservation and the environment among her top policy priorities; chairs the Nashua Conservation Commission and, as a state representative, voted to establish greenhouse-gas reduction goals (net zero by 2050, HB 208) and sponsored waste-reduction legislation (container deposit, extended producer responsibility).
Supports easing local zoning rules to encourage housing development, voting for bills to allow accessory dwelling units, ease conversion of single-family homes into two units, and limit parking requirements.
Lists supporting public education among her priorities and opposes New Hampshire's heavy reliance on local property taxes for school funding, arguing a student's zip code should not determine the quality of their education.
Supports abortion rights: voted for a constitutional right to abortion before 24 weeks (CACR 23) and against bills banning abortion in the first and second trimesters.
Opposes New Hampshire's Education Freedom Account (school voucher) program, voting to consider its repeal and against multiple bills expanding eligibility.
