Shirley Arriaga is a lifelong Chicopee resident, a U.S. Air Force veteran (2010–2020) who served as a loadmaster and reached the rank of Staff Sergeant, and a former educator at Chicopee High School who also worked as Veterans Director for Congressman Richard E. Neal. She was first elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2022 to represent the 8th Hampden District and lives in the Aldenville neighborhood of Chicopee with her daughter.
