Sid Gupta has been a resident of Sammamish for 15 years. Before being elected to the City Council in 2023, he served on the Sammamish Parks and Recreation Commission for eight years. He is a Native Plant Steward with the Washington Native Plant Society and has served on the board for Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery (FISH). His community work earned him the Sammamish Environmental Stewardship Award in 2016 and Volunteer of the Year Award in 2018. He studied Political Science at the University of Tulsa.
