Sidney Chip Fitzpatrick

Sidney "Chip" Fitzpatrick is an incumbent Democratic member of the Montana House of Representatives, representing District 42. He assumed office on January 6, 2025, and is now running for re-election in the Democratic primary on June 2, 2026. His current term is set to end in January 2027. Fitzpatrick first won his seat in the 2024 election, defeating a Republican challenger with 52% of the vote, succeeding a term-limited predecessor. During his time in office, he has been assigned to the Business and Labor, Transportation, and Fish, Wildlife and Parks committees. He is also a member of the American Indian Caucus, representing a district that includes Big Horn and a section of Yellowstone County.
