Silas J. Miller

Silas Miller is the incumbent State Senator for Kansas's 25th district, having assumed office in December 2025. A Democrat, he previously served in the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 86th district from 2023 to 2025. A native of Wichita, Miller attended public schools and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Prior to his political career, he worked in cosmetology and barbery. He was selected by Democratic precinct leaders to fill the Senate seat vacated by Mary Ware and is seeking to retain his position. Miller resides in Wichita with his wife, Bailey.
