Skyler Wheeler is an incumbent Republican State Representative for Iowa's District 4, having first assumed office in 2017. He is seeking re-election in the Republican primary on June 2, 2026. Wheeler currently serves as Chair of the House Education Committee and also sits on the Higher Education, Judiciary, and Local Government committees. Originally from Olympia, Washington, he earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Northwestern College and is pursuing a master's degree in government. His career background includes working with Iowa Information Inc. and serving as the Sioux County Co-Chair for Ted Cruz's presidential campaign. He has been involved in legislative efforts, including an anti-vaccination bill during the 2026 session. Wheeler currently resides in Orange City, Iowa.
