Sonya Halpern is an incumbent Georgia State Senator representing the 39th District, which encompasses portions of Fulton County. First elected in 2020, she is currently serving her third term and is running for re-election in the 2026 Georgia Primary. She holds leadership roles as Vice Chair of the Senate Democratic Caucus and Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Urban Affairs, and is a member of committees including Appropriations, Education and Youth, and Health and Human Services.
