Sonya Whited is a Democratic candidate running for the Wicomico County Democratic Central Committee in Maryland. An experienced chemical engineer, Whited earned her Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Rutgers University. Professionally, she serves as the Senior Director of Process Engineering and Sensory at Perdue Farms. Whited is highly active in her community, having served on the boards of the Salisbury University Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore, and as Immediate Past Chair for the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore. She is also a past president of her local Delta Sigma Theta sorority chapter.
