Stanley Byron Short Jr.

Stanley Byron Short Jr. is a Democratic candidate for Maine State Senate - District 3 in the 2026 Primary Election. He previously served as a Maine State Representative for four years and has extensive experience as a Labor Leader across 14 states, advocating for working men and women. A graduate of Lawrence High School and Southern Maine Vocation Institute, Short is from Pittsfield, married, and has two children. He aims to develop Maine's economic potential by attracting businesses, expanding fishing and hunting, and protecting papermaking jobs. He also seeks bipartisan solutions to support workers affected by job losses.
