Stephanie L. Everett is the Register of Probate and Family Court for Suffolk County, Massachusetts, appointed in July 2023 by Governor Maura Healey. She became the first woman of color to hold the post and the sole woman of color in county-wide office in all of Massachusetts. Raised in Mattapan, she graduated from Northeastern University in 2002 and earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 2008. She previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff to State Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz, Chief of Staff at the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance, and Executive Director of Boston's Office of Police Accountability and Transparency.
