Stephanie Simacek is an incumbent Democratic State Representative for Arizona's Legislative District 2, serving Phoenix. A public school teacher and proud mother, she also sits on the Deer Valley Unified School District Board, having been elected in 2022. Simacek earned her master’s degree in early childhood education from Grand Canyon University. She first won her State House seat in 2024, a tightly contested race, and is now running for reelection in the 2026 primary. She is a strong advocate for students and families, and as a Democrat, supports safeguarding reproductive freedom, climate action, and voting rights, while opposing efforts to overturn protections like the Endangered Species Act. Her reelection is considered crucial for Democrats to gain a majority in the Arizona House.
