Stephanie Story was appointed to serve as a Judge in the Los Angeles Superior Court by Governor Gavin Newsom in November 2024. She is currently assigned to the Family Law Division at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. Prior to her appointment, Judge Story was the owner and president of the Story Law Firm, P.C. from 2014 to 2024, where her practice focused on family law. She previously worked as an associate at L.A. Law Group from 2011 to 2014 and at Ellis Law Corporation from 2009 to 2011, after starting there as a law clerk in 2004. Her legal experience also includes serving as Minor's Counsel for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Judge Story earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1998 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/Law and Society from the University of California, Riverside in 1993. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2009 and the State Bar of Texas in 2021.
