Stephannie Stiel is an incumbent North Dakota District Court Judge for District East Central, Seat 9, appointed by Governor Doug Burgum in 2017. Born in South Dakota in 1978, she earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Minnesota State University Moorhead, followed by a Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law. Her legal career includes serving as a law clerk for the North Dakota Supreme Court and practicing privately in Fargo before her judicial appointment.
