Steven J. Fitzpatrick, a Republican, is seeking re-election to the Montana House of Representatives for District 24 in the June 2, 2026, primary. He currently serves as the House Majority Leader, a position he assumed in January 2025 after transitioning from Senate Majority Leader (2023-2025). Fitzpatrick's legislative career includes previous terms in the Montana House (2011-2017) and Senate (2017-2025), where he sponsored bills on topics such as election laws, campaign finance, and property tax incentives. Born and raised in Helena, he holds a biology degree from Montana State University and a law degree from Arizona State University, and practices as an attorney. He is married to Julia and they have three daughters.
