Steve Marshall, born in 1964 in Atmore, Alabama, is the incumbent Attorney General of Alabama. He previously served as district attorney for Marshall County for 16 years before being appointed Attorney General in 2017. He was elected to a full term in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. Marshall, who changed his party affiliation to Republican in 2011, announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate in the 2026 election.
