Steven Owens is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 29th Middlesex District since January 6, 2021. He lives in Watertown, Massachusetts, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science and political science from Brown University in 1999. He worked as a software developer and transportation consultant. He served on the Watertown Democratic Town Committee for 12 years (chair 2008–2020) and on the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee, and was a member of the Watertown Transportation Task Force.
