Steven Horsford is the incumbent U.S. Representative for Nevada's 4th Congressional District, serving since 2019 and previously 2013-2015. A Democrat, he is up for reelection in 2026. Horsford was the first African American to serve as Majority Leader in the Nevada State Senate (2009-2013) and to represent Nevada in Congress. He chaired the Congressional Black Caucus (2023-2025) and serves on the House Ways and Means Committee. He has sponsored enacted legislation. Recently, he voted for a War Powers Resolution on Iran, opposed a Senate funding bill citing ICE oversight, and called for DHS Secretary Kristi Noem's removal. Horsford advocates addressing rising costs, housing affordability, and healthcare access, sponsoring the RELIEF Act.
