Steve Ultrino is the State Representative for the 33rd Middlesex District and currently serves as a Ward 2 Malden City Councilor. He was first elected to the City Council in 2012 and was a Malden School Committee member for eight years prior to that. A graduate of Malden Catholic High School, he earned a B.A. in U.S. History and Secondary Education and an M.S. in Adult and Organizational Learning from Suffolk University, a C.A.G.S. in Educational Leadership from Emmanuel College, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Governance from Nova Southeastern University. He served as Director of Education for the Middlesex Sheriff's Office, taught business and economics at Malden Catholic High School, and served as school principal and business manager at St. Mary's Parish in Winchester. He has been active in his community for over thirty years, including sixteen years as President of the St. Rocco Society and board service with the Malden YMCA.
