Sukhwant Gill

Sukhwant Gill has been a resident and business owner in Blaine for over 25 years. He owns multiple businesses, including a Shell gas station and the Blaine Mart. He previously served on the Blaine City Council, having been appointed to an at-large seat in February 2021. Gill also served on the Blaine Tourism Advisory Committee and has been president of the Guru Nanak Guru Sikh Temple. He moved to the U.S. from India in 1993, where he had worked as a paymaster for a municipal electricity department. He is also a certified WA State Nursing Aid. In 2023, he ran for Whatcom County Executive.
