T. W. Shannon, a Republican, is campaigning for Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma in the 2026 primary election. An African-American and Chickasaw politician, he previously served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 2007 to 2015, including as Speaker from 2013 to 2014. His career experience includes CEO of Chickasaw Community Bank and a Senior Advisor on Rural Prosperity to the USDA under the Trump administration in 2025-2026, a position he resigned to launch his current campaign. Shannon advocates for cutting red tape to foster job creation and opportunity. He has previously sought Republican nominations for U.S. Senate in 2014 and 2022, securing an endorsement from Donald Trump for his current bid.
