Tambei Chiawah

Tambei Chiawah is a Democratic candidate running for the Maryland House of Delegates in Legislative District 23. A resident of Upper Marlboro, he came to the United States from Cameroon as an asylum seeker in 2001 before settling in Maryland. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bowie State University and has built a diverse career as a public accountant and auditor for various firms. Chiawah has also held public service positions within Prince George's County government and is the co-owner of a home care agency. His campaign platform focuses on key community issues, including improving access to quality healthcare, enhancing educational opportunities with an emphasis on STEM and AI, creating jobs, and reducing gun violence.
