Tammy Fiebelkorn has represented District 7 on the Albuquerque City Council since January 1, 2022. Born in Grants, NM, she has lived in District 7 for over two decades. She holds degrees in economics and finance from Northeast Louisiana University and a master's degree in natural resource economics from Colorado State University. Professionally, Fiebelkorn works as an environmental economist with Western Resource Advocates, where she focuses on policies to protect New Mexico's land and water and promote clean energy. She is also the Founder and President of Positive Links, a nonprofit that educates the public on the connection between animal abuse and human violence. Prior to her election, she worked with the City of Albuquerque on projects related to low-income energy efficiency, updating the city's Energy Conservation Code, and managing the Mayor's Energy Challenge for small businesses.
