Tammy L Schmersal-Burgess

Tammy L. Schmersal-Burgess is an incumbent Republican State Representative for Maine's House District 77, currently serving her second term. Representing towns including Livermore (Part), Canton, Dixfield, Hartford, Mexico, and Peru, she brings a small business owner's perspective, operating as a barber and stylist in Mexico, Maine. A graduate of Mexico High School and Mr. Richards Hair Academy, Schmersal-Burgess serves on the 132nd Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. Her community involvement is extensive, with memberships in organizations such as the National Rifle Association, Sportsmans Alliance of Maine, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Mexico Historical Society. She is running for re-election in the 2026 Republican primary.
