Tanya Vyhovsky is a licensed independent clinical social worker with a private counseling practice in Essex, working primarily with youth and young adults, and a State Senator for the Chittenden-Central District (2023–present) after serving in the Vermont House of Representatives (2021–2023). A 2003 Essex High School graduate, she earned a B.S. in psychology and biology from Northeastern University (2009) and an M.S.W. from the University of Vermont (2017), where she was a graduate research fellow. She developed and directed the Vermont Support Line (2013–2015), served as Vice President of the Vermont Chapter of the NASW (2016–2020), and founded Essex Area Mutual Aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.
