Tavis Rock Hasenfus is a Democratic State Representative for Maine's District 57, having assumed office in December 2020. An attorney by profession, he previously interned with the Kennebec County District Attorney's Office before practicing law. Born in Augusta and raised in Winthrop, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Maine and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law. He is also involved in his community as a member of the Winthrop Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce and Winthrop Recreation Committee. As a legislator, he has sponsored bills concerning retirement plans, estate recovery, business tax credits, and housing for indigent individuals. He is currently seeking re-election in the 2026 Maine Primary Election for State Representative.
