Ted Weinberg was elected to the City Council for seat 4 in 2021. He previously served for four years on the Mercer Island Planning Commission, including as vice-chair. A Mercer Island High School graduate, he holds a BS in Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Technology Management MBA from the University of Washington. His professional career includes 15 years at Microsoft and 10 years at Avanade. He currently works as a Portfolio and Resource Manager for the City of Seattle's Information Technology department. He also serves on the boards of the Mercer Island Sister City Association and the Friends of Seward Park.
