Teresa T. Sullivan was appointed as a Judge to the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in 2013. Prior to her appointment, she served as a Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County for 14 years, from 1999 to 2013. Her work as a prosecutor included assignments in the Hardcore Gang Unit and the Sex Crimes Unit. From 1997 to 1999, she was a trial attorney at the Law Office of Jo Kaplan. Judge Sullivan earned her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School and her bachelor's degree from California State University, Los Angeles. In 2015, she established the D.R.E.A.M. Court (Dignity, Respect, Empowerment, Advocacy, and Mentoring), the first collaborative court in the U.S. designed to address the specific needs of commercially sexually exploited children in the foster care system.
