Terry Alexander is an incumbent State Representative for South Carolina House District 59, representing Florence and Darlington counties. With over 26 years in public service, he previously served 16 years on the Florence County Council, including two terms as Chairman, and was a field director for Congressman Robin Tallon. Alexander is a businessman, education consultant, career development counselor, pastor, and adjunct professor. He holds a B.A. from Francis Marion University and an M. Div. from Howard University, and is pursuing a doctorate. His policy priorities include strengthening healthcare (supporting ACA, Medicaid, Medicare), improving South Carolina's infrastructure, advocating for civil rights, and enhancing wages and job benefits. He also serves as Chaplin of the SC Legislative Black Caucus Executive Committee.
