Terry Dayton Wheatley

Teresa "Terry" Dayton Wheatley, a Democrat, serves as the Register of Wills for Dorchester County, Maryland. She was appointed to the position on November 10, 2020, by the Judges of the Orphan's Court. Her career in the Register of Wills office began in 1999 as a Deputy, and she was later promoted to Chief Deputy in 2012. Prior to her work in the courthouse, Wheatley spent over two decades as a legal secretary and administrative assistant for State Senator Frederick C. Malkus, Jr. Wheatley's extensive experience in probate and real estate law has been a cornerstone of her public service career in Dorchester County.
