Terry E. Whitfield

For nearly two decades, Terry Whitfield has worked across Detroit's youth-development ecosystem, from direct service and community organizing to philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, and strategic consulting. He attended Detroit-based Catholic schools (St. Gerard and University of Detroit Jesuit), and his wife, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins are Detroit Public Schools graduates. A husband to Shea and father to Beau James, he is running for the DPSCD Board of Education to build on the district's progress through thoughtful governance, strong community partnership, and accountable leadership.
