He earned a High School Diploma from Lewis and Clark High School, an Associate of Science in Counseling and Addiction Services Psychology from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Grand Canyon University. He has been a member of the Mary Walker Against Levy and Bond and Problem Identification Teams. He moved to his current property in the district in March 2020.
