Thomas A. Albert is the incumbent Michigan State Senator for the 18th District, first elected to the Senate in 2022. He previously served three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2017 to 2022. Albert is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq in 2009. After his military service, he worked as an investor for the State of Michigan Retirement Systems. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Michigan State University.
