Thomas 'Tommy' Gillen Jr. is a retired detective with over three decades of law enforcement experience in Hudson County. He has served as a 9-1-1 operator, patrol officer, detective, and as an executive aide to the county sheriff. A resident of Bayonne for over 50 years, his family has a long history of public service, with his grandfather having served as a Jersey City Police Officer and Hudson County Sheriff, his father a retired police officer, and his brother a Bayonne firefighter. His wife is a lieutenant in the Hudson County Sheriff's Office.
